KITKAT
Case Study
Challenge:
As part of the global KITKAT Breaks for Good campaign, we were challenged to develop a communication strategy for point of sale and promotional materials to engage and impact Consumers, Shoppers, and Retailers and solidify the brand's commitment to sustainability.
The big idea:
We developed distinctive graphic and 3D materials while maintaining KITKAT's visual heritage,
focusing on sustainably grown cocoa, he foundation of their innovative program centred around cocoa farmer families.
With endcap displays, pallet displays, free-standing displays, and shelf merchandising, we managed to create a bold presence for KITKAT, where green joined the brand's red. Going further, and with retailers, media, and influencers in mind, we developed a PR kit under the motto "Gift for Good," surprising them with a kokedama — a plant that, by requiring little care,
saves natural and human resources.
In strategic stores, we activated the campaign with a sustainability focus in Portugal. We challenged the shopper to pedal
to donate native forest trees and shrubs to the Buçaco National Forest, in collaboration with an environmental organization.
We summed up 643 minutes pedalled enthusiastically, corresponding to 643 trees that KITKAT will plant in 2024.
